Last Will and Testament of Seraphine Joray


In the name or God, Amen!

I, Seraphine Jorey, a resident of the County of Buena Vista and State or Iowa, be1ng of the age of 76 years and being of sound mind and memory, do make, purpose and declare this to be ny last will and testament in the manner following:

First. It is my will that all my just debts be fully paid.

Second: After the payment of my debts (if any there be) I give, devise and bequeath unto my five sons, Frank Jorey, Oscar Joray, Henry Joray, Amile Jorey, Joseph Joray, share and share alike, all my estate either real, personal or mixed, Same to be used by them in such manner as to them shall seem best and proper.

That there may be no misunderstanding after my death, I would state that my son Amile Joray is now occupying my home and having the use of my house and household furniture which is in payment of my board and the care given me, but upon the division of my estate he is to have no more than his equal share with the rest or my heirs.

Third: Reposing full confidence in my son Frank Joray I hereby nominate and appoint him my sole executor of this my last will and testament and request the Court that he be not required to give any bonds.

Dated at Storm Lake, Iowa, this first day of June, 1901

On this first day of June, 1901, Seraphine Joray signed the above instrument in our presence and at her request we signed the same as witnesses in her presence and in the presence or each other and she then stated that the same was her last will and testament.
