Buena Vista County Wills and Probate Last Will and Testament of Eliza Way
I, Eliza Way being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this to be my
last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills by me at any time heretofore made
Item 1 Subject to the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, I will devise and
bequeath all my property as follows:
1st First.
To my beloved daughter Margaret Mills, I give, will, devise and bequeath four cows,
two of which cows to be given and delivered to Margaret the first year after my death and
two of which cows to be given and delivered to her the second year after my death. Also
the sum of fifty dollars. Also my black shawl, cloth cape, under clothes and skirts and best
black dress and pair of new shoes, 1/2 doz. silver knives and forks.
2nd Second.
To my beloved daughter Eliza Eno, I give, devise, will and bequeath all of my china
dishes, table cloth and napkins, silver spoons, gold specs and gold ring
3rd Third.
All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate real, personal and mixed of which I
may die seized or possessed or to which I may be entitled I give, devise, will and bequeath
to my beloved son William Way absolutely to do and dispose of as he may deem fit, he having
staid with me and worked and kept the home for me and provided for me and for such service and
such reason I give my entire property, except as stated herein.
4th Fourth.
To my beloved daughter Emma Hurd I give, devise, will and bequeath one (two) double
shawl(s) and one filled shawl and one small shawl
5th Fifth.
To my beloved daughter Anna Johnson I give, devise and bequeath my drab cassimere shawl.
Item 2
I hereby appoint my son William Way executor of this my last will and testament and exonerate him from giving bonds and authorize him without any order of court to divide my property as herein designated.
