Slaughter Rites Set at Tecumseh
Funeral services for W. M. (Uncle Bill) Slaughter, 86, who died Friday night, will be held at Elliott�s Chapel today at 2 pm. Burial will be at Tecumseh.

The Rev. James Alexander will officiate at the services, assisted by Dr. Millard A. Jenkins.

Mr. Slaughter, who worked as a carpenter and bricklayer, has been in Callahan and Taylor counties since the Civil War. He was brought here by his mother from Arkansas, where he was born in 1859.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be his grandsons, Troy Stevens, Virgil Merle Stevens, Lynn Lauerle Stevens, J. T. Slaughter, Lloyd Slaughter, Scotty Slaughter and Oran Hefferman.
