Obit of Henry J. Leber: Henry J. Leber Dies At Age 31: Henry John Leber, a former resident of Prouts
Station and for the last three and a half years living at 113 W. Parsh St., died there at 4:30 p.m.
Monday after an illness of five weeks. He was aged 31 years, two months and eight days. Mr.
Leber, who was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Oxford, was employed
at the A. H. Vogel Co. here. Survivors include his wife, the former Charlotte Magill, Sand Hill; one
daughter, Denna, and an infant son, Paul, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Leber,
Prouts Station; four sisters, Mrs. Harry Goss, Huron; Mrs. Wayne Jewell, S. Columbus Ave; Mrs. Darwin
Andrews, Bellevue; Mrs. Marshall Camp, Sandusky; three brothers, Edward L. Jr., Huron; Paul, Sandusky;
and Harold Leber, Prouts Station. The body has been taken to the Frey Funeral Home where friends may
call from 3 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Wednesday. From the funeral home it will be removed to Mrs. Edward
Leber, Prout's Station, where friends may call until 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held there at 2 p.m.
Thursday with the Rev. H.E. heiffer officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Oxford Cemetery. (3-10-41)

Ernest (1904)). Re-married in 1908 to Christina Hickleman (b. 1845 d. 1928). Died June 5, 1934 in

at his home in Bloomingville Friday morning at 7:10 o'clock after an illness of four weeks, will be returned
this morning from the Fre? Funeral Home to the Bloomingville residence from where the funeral will be
held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with services at 2 at St. John's Evangelical Church at Oxford, the
Rev. H.E. Pheiffer, of Sandusky, officiating. Burial will be made in Oxford Cemetery. Mr. Ries was ages
82 years, two months and 13 days. Surviving are seven daughters: Mrs. Frank Ruggles, Norwalk; Mrs. E. J.
Leber, Prouts Station; Mrs. George Kriss, Long Beach, Calif; Mrs. Ella Teipel, Detroit; Mrs. William Erdman,
North Monrowville; Mrs. F.E. Deppensmith, Oak Harbor, and Mrs. Anna Strong, Bloomingville, with whom he
lived; four sons, Carl, of Monroeville; John, of Kenton; Emil, of Bloomingville, and Ferdinand, of Castalia;
42 grandchildren and six grandchildren. His first wife died 30 years ago and his second, six year ago.
Five children also preceded him in death.'
'The funeral of Jacob Ries who died Friday, was held from the residence of Mrs. Anna Strong, daughter, of
Bloomingville, Monday at 1:30 p.m. and, at 2 p.m. from St. John's Evangelical church at Oxford with the
Rev. H. E. Pheiffer, of Sandusky, pastor, officiating. Interment in Oxford Cemetery. Pallbearers were
Raymond Teipel, Henry and Paul Keber, Carl Ries, Lee Ruggles and Lloyd Deppensmith."
