This Indenture made this twenty Fifth day of November in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and fifty six Between Samuel Major of the County Parrish of Raughley in the County of Amelia of the one party and John Clement of the same Parrish and County of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Major for divers good Causes and Considerations him these to Moving but more Especaley for and inconsideration of the sum of twelve pounds Currant Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said John Clement the Recept whereof he doth hearby Acknowledge hath Given granted Bargain.d Wold Aliened Released and Confirmed and by these Presents doth give grant Bargain sell aliened Release and confirm to the said John Clement and to his heirs and assigns forever A certain Tract or parcel of land laying and being in the County afforesaid Containing Thirty acres be the same more or less and Bounded as folloeth to wit Begining at John Clements line thence along James Seays line to the Bent creek thence up the creek as it Manders to a spring then along a line of markt Trees on the upper side of the Creek round the spring about Forty yards including the spring then to the Creek and up the Creek as it Manders to Jacob seays line then along Jacob Seays Line to John Clements line then along the said line to the Begining and all Buildings Woods and under Woods Standing or Growing upon the premises and all waies Eadments profitts Commodites and appertenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Revertion and Revertions Remander and Remanders thereof and all Right title use trust Interest property Claim and Demand of him the said Samuel Major of and in all and singuler the Premises with all and Every their Incedents and all Evedences writings or minnments of or Concerning the said land or Premises To have and to holde the said tract or parcel of Land with all and singler the Premises therein before mentioned ment or Intended to be heareby Granted with all and every their appurtenances unto the said John Clement and to his heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of the said John Clement and of his heirs and assigns for ever from the said Samuel Major and his heirs and assigns for ever the said Tract or parcel of Land and all and singler the premises herein before mentioned with all the appertenances unto the said John Clement his heirs and assigns and to his and there only proper use and uses against the Challenge Claim and Demand of all persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever by these Presents Defend in witness whereof the said Samuel Major hath here unto set his hand and seal the day and year above written Sign.d seal.d & deliverd in Presence of

Memorandum
That on the Twenty fifth day of November one thousand Seven hundred and fifty Six Peacable Possession of the within Mentioned Land and Premises was Granted to the within named John Clement by the within named Saml. Major Covenanter of these presents

At a Court held for Amelia County the 25th Day of November 1756
Samuel and Barshebay Major Presented and Acknowledged this there Deed with Livery & Seisin thereon Endorsed unto John Clement & ordered to be Recorded the Said Barshebay being first privately Examined and Volluntarily assenting thereto Relinquished her right of Dower in the Land conveyed by the Said Deed
