This
Indenture made this Twenty fifth day of September one thousand seven
hundred and sixty Between George Evins of the one part and William
Clements of the other Party both of Amelia County Witnesseth
that the said George Evins for Valuable Consideration of sixty Pounds Current
Money of Virginia to him in hand paid Before the Insealing and Delivery
of these Presents the Receipt Whereof I do hereby Acknowledge myself to
be fully Satisfied Contented and paid by these Presents have given granted
Bargained sold Alinated and Confirmed do by these Presents Fully Clearly
absolutely Give grant bargain sell Linate Enfeofe and Confirm unto the said
William Clements One hundred and
Fifty Acres of Land by Estimation be the same more or less lying and bounded
as followeth Joining George Booker Josiah Cox John Tabb and the Land William
Clement Senior bought of William Ross to have and to hold the said land
& Premises the said one hundred & fifty Acres of land the above
said George Evans hath Granted bargained & sold unto the above said
William Clement his heirs &
Assigns with all houses Orchards gardens fences woods & under Woods
water & water Courses thereon standing growing and being with all profits
Commodities advantages and Appurtinances whatsoever the same belonging or
in any wise appertaining and also the Remainder and Remainders Reversion
and Reversions thereof and every part and parcel thereof the said Tract
of Land with all & Singular the appurtenance unto the said William
Clement for his heirs & Assigns to the only proper use & behoof
of him the said William Clements
his Heirs & Assigns for ever and the said George Evins for himself and
his heirs the said Land & Premises with all their and Every of their
Appurtenances unto the said William
Clement for his heirs & Assigns shall & will warrant & forever
Defend by these Presents against any Person or Persons whatsoever having
or Lawfully Claiming any Wright or Title in or to the same or any part or
parcel thereof & the said George Evins for himself & his heirs doth
grant Covenant & agree to & with the said William
Clements his heirs & Assigns In manner & form following that
is to say that the said George Evins at the time of sealing & Delivering
of these presents is & Standeth Seized of any Indefeazable Estate in
fee simple of and in these premises & that he hath good Wright &
lawfull authority to sell & convey the same in manner & form aforesaid
& that the same shall forever Remain to the said William
Clements his heirs & Assigns freely & Clearly Exonarated &
Discharged of & from all & all manner of other & former Bargains
Seals Titles of Dowrey & all others rights & Estates whatsoever
in Witness whereof the said George Evins hath hereunto set his hand &
sealed the day & year above Written.

Memorandum That on the Twenty fifth Day of September one thousand seven
hundred & sixty peaceable and quiet Possession & Seizen of the within
granted Land & Premises was made done & Delivered I the within named
George Evins unto the within Named William
Clements according to the Form & Estate of the within Written Deed
in Presence of us.
At a Court held for Amelia County the 25th Day of September 1760.
This Indenture and the Memorandum endorsed were acknowledged by the within
named George Evans Party thereto and Ordered to be recorded & Margaret
Wife of the said George Personally appeared in Court and haveing been first
privily examined as the Law directs.
