Know all men
by these Presents that I Isham Clement
of Amelia County for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred Pounds
Current money of Virginia the Receipt whereof I do hereby Acknowledge have
remised Released and for Ever Quit Claimed and by these Presents do for
me my heirs Executors and Administrators remise release and for ever Quit
Claim unto John Scott of the County aforesaid his heirs Executors and Administrators
all the right and Title that I have by Means of my Marriage with my wife
Sarah for ever part of that part of the estate of Joseph Scott decd which
he gave by his last will and Testament to be divided at the time his Son
John Came to Lawful age or his daughter or Daughters married and all manner
of Action and Actions Cause and Causes of Actions Suits Bills Bonds writings
Obligations, debts Dues duties Reconing Account Sum and Sums of Money Judgm.t
Executions ? Quarrels Controverseys Trespasses damages and Demand whatsoever
both at Law and in Equity or otherwise however which against him the Said
John Scott I ever had now have or which I my heirs Ex.rs or adm.rs Can shall
or may have claim Challenge or Demand for or by the Reason or means of any
Act Matter Cause or thing from the Begining of the World to the day of the
date of these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and
Seal this eighteenth day of February One thousand and Seven hundred and
Sixty Seven
At a Court Held for Amelia County the 26th day of March 1768 This Release was Acknowledged by the within named Isham Clement Party thereto and Ordered to be Recorded
