  This Indenture made the Twenty seventh Day of August one Thousand seven hundred & seventy two Between Isham Clements of Amelia County of the one part and John Clements of the said County of the Other Part Witnesseth that the said John Clement for and in Consideration of the sum of seventeen Pounds Fifteen Shillnigs Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Isham Clement the Receipt whereof he Doth hereby acknowledge hath granted Bargain'd sold Alien'd and Confirm'd unto the said Isham Clement his heirs & c. for ever One Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Lying and being in the County foresaid Containing seventeen acres be the same more or less being part of the Tract the said John Clement now lives & Bounded by the lands of the John & Isham Begining at a Corner pine in the said John Clement line thence to an Oak by the side of a path from the said Isham Plantation to Andersons Road thence Crossing the said path by a line of Trees to Andersons Road thence up the said Road to Isham Clements Line thence along the Line to the Begining with all the appurtenances thereunto Belonging or in any wise appurtaining & the Reversion & Reversions Remainder and Remainders thereof and all the Right title purpose Claim and Demand of him the said John Clements his heirs & c. with all and singular the Premises To have & to hold the aforesaid Land with all and every part herein mentioned or Intended to be granted unto the said Isham Clements his heirs & c. for his or their own Proper use forever and the said John Clement for himself his heirs & c. the said Tract or Parcel of Land and all & singular the Premises herein before mention'd unto the said Isham Clement for his heirs & c. to his or their own proper use against the Claim Challenge and Demand of all Persons Whatsoever shall and will Warrant & for ever Defend by these Presents in Witness whereof the said John Clement hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the Day and year above Written
