  This Indenture mede the Twenty first Day of July in the year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred & Seventy three Between John Hubbard of the County of Amelia and Kezziah his wife of the one Part and Mosses Seay of the same County of the Other Part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Twelve Pounds Current Money to the said John in hand paid by the said Mosses at or before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledg'd they the said John Hubbard and Kezziah his wife have granted bargain'd sold aliend and Confirm'd and by these Presents Do grant Bargain sell alien and Confirm unto the said Mosses Seay his heirs and assigns for ever One Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Containing fourteen acres Lying and being in the County of Amelia Joining the said Mosses Seays Land that he now Lives on and is part of the Tract of Land whereon [too dark to read] now Lives and Bounded as followeth, To wit, Begining at a Corner pine in the said Seays and John Hughes line thence along Hughes Line West two Degrees North Ten Poles to a Lightwood Knot thence South One Degree West Two hundred and Twenty six Poles to a White Oak Corner in James Chappels Line thence along his line North Eighty Nine Degrees East ten Poles to the said Mosses Seays Corner Thence along his Line North One Degree East Two hundred and Twenty six poles to the begining with all Houses Buildngs Woods Waters Profits Commodities Hereditiments and appurtinances thereto belonging and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders thereof and all the Estate Right title & Interest of him the said John Hubbard and Kezziah his wife of in and to the same To have & to hold all and singular the premises with the appurtenances to the said Mosses Seay his heirs and assigns for ever and the said John Hubbard for himself and his heirs Doth Covenant and grant to and with the said Mosses Seay and his heirs and assigns that the the said John Hubbard and his heirs the said Land and Premises with the appurtenances unto the said Mosses Seay his heirs & assigns against the Lawful Claim and Demand of all and every Person and Persons Whatever shall and will Warrant and for ever Defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have Interchangably set their hands and affixed their Seals the day and year first above written

At a Court held for Amelia County the 27th Day of August 1773
This Indenture was acknowledged by the within named John Hubbard Party thereto and ordered to be Recorded Kezia his Wife Personally appeared in court and having been first Privily Examined Voluntarily Relinquished her Right of Dower in the Lands and Premisses conveyed by the said Indenture
