This Indenture made this 27th day of August 1830 Between Vachel Clement of Hart County and of Kentucky of the one part & Henry Crutcher of Barren County and State aforsaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Vachel Clement for and in consideration of 600 dollars to him in hand paid he doth hereby acknowledge hath Given granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth Give, grant, bargain and sell unto the said Henry Crutcher one certain tract or parcel of land, situate, lying, and being in Barren County and State of Kentucky and bounded as follows, Towit, Beginning at two hicory stumps Beginning corner of Danis Kelleys 200 acre survey running, thence with a line of the same N10 E66 poles to a hicory and red oak, thence S79 E18 1/2 poles to four post oaks in the original line thence with said line N10 E125 poles to a black oak, thence N65 W100 poles to a Large poplar and black walnut, thence S65 W89 poles to 3 black Jacks original corner, thence with another line of the same S10 W245 poles to a stake, thence S80 E126 poles to a hicory and post oak, thence N20 E6 poles to a hicory, thence S60 E21 poles to a hickory & black Gum, thence N40 E44 poles to two white oak stumps thence N40 E18 poles to the Beginning containing 300 acres To have and to hold said land and premises with its appurtenances to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Henry Crutcher and his heirs forever and the said Vachel Clement for himself and his heirs do further covenant and agree to and with said Crutcher that he will warrant and forever defend the right and title of the aforsaid land and premises from himself and his heirs and from all and every person or persons claiming or to claims the same In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the date first herein written

Barren County, To wit,
I as clerk of the County Court for the County aforsaid do certify that the within and foregoing Deed of Conveyance from Vachel Clement & wife to Henry Crutcher was on the day of the date hereof acknowledged before me by the said Clement and Wife to be their act and deed. She the said Fany Clement being examined by me separate and apart from her said husband as the Law directs and said deed again again shewn & explained to her declared that she freely and voluntarily signed, sealed, acknowledged, and delivered the said deed as her act and deed and wishes not to retract, and consented that the same should be Recorded given under my hand this 28th day of August 1830 and the same has been duly recorced in my office
