  This Indenture made this 2nd day of April 1816 between Dennis Kelly of the State of Kentucky and County of Barren of the one part and Vachel Clement of the County of Barren and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Dennis Kelly for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge have bargained and sold to the said Vachel Clement his Heirs & c. one Certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County of Barren Containng two hundred Acres and lying on the road leading from Warren Courthouse to Noliorn and bounded as follows Beginning below the limestone Spring at two hickories marked thus D K runing North 18 East 200 poles to a hickory and white oak thence North 80 West 160 poles to three black Jacks thence South 10 West 200 poles to a Stake thence South 80 East one hundred and sixty poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold, the aforesaid tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the sole purpose use and behoof of the aforesaid Vachel Clement and his Heirs forever and the aforesaid Dennis Kelly doth Covenant and agree with the said Vachel Clemmons for himself and his Heirs that he the said Dennis Kelly will Warrant and forever defend the aforesaid tract or parcel of Land to the aforesaid Clemmons and his Heirs forever the claim of him the said Dennis Kelly and his Heirs and all and every person whatsoever In Witness whereof the aforesaid Kelly hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal this the day and year first within written

This day came Elender Kelly wife of the above Dennis personally before us Joshua Crump and Richard Munford two of the Commonwealths Justices of the peace for the County of Barren and relinquished her right of Dower to the within tract of Land being first examined apart from her husband given under our hands and seals the 12th day of April 1816

The foregoing Indenture from Dennis Kelly to Vachel Clemment, was on the day of the date hereof proved before to be the act and Deed of the said Dennis Kelly by the Oath of Richard Munford a subscribing Witness and on the 17th day of September and aforesaid the said Indenture was fully proved by the Oath of Joshua Crump a subscribing Witness thereupon the said Indenture & Certificate of the relinquishment of Dower thereon indorsed was admitted to Record in my Office
