  This Indenture made and entered into this 21st day of June in the year of our Lord 1828 Between Willis Clement of the County of Spencer and State of Kentucky of the one part and Philip Swigert of the County of Franklin and State aforesaid for the use benefit and behoof of the President Directors and Company of the Bank of Kentucky of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Willis Clement for and in Consideration of the sum of Four hundred Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold aliened and Conveyed and do by these Presents grant bargain & sell alien and Convey unto the said Philip Swigert for the us benefit and behoof of the sd. President Directors and Company of the Bank of Kentucky and their successors and assigns one moiety or equal undivided half part of a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Barren adjoining the tract of land now owned by the said President, Directors and Company of the Bank of Kentucky and Known by the name of the three forks which they purchased of David Walker jr. and which is now occupied by William Bell as a tavern which sd. tract of land includes the frame or hewed log house adjoining the brick house occupied by said Bell and being the same tract conveyed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky by two letters patent bearing date the 9th day of November 1813 to Ephraim Puckett assignee of William Watson jr. and conveyed by sd. Puckett to the Heirs of James Clement Deceased by Deed bearing date the 19th day of December 1817 and recorded in the County Court Clerks Office for the County of Barren on the same day and the same tract of land conveyed by George Clement one of the Heirs and representatives of the aforesaid James Clement Deceased to Joseph Browning by Deed bearing date 27th May 1828 and recorded in the County Court Clerks Office for the County of Barren aforesaid on the same day and the same tract of land conveyed by the sd. Joseph Browning to Willis Clement the party of the first part herein mentioned by Deed bearing date the 2nd day of June 1828 and Recorded in the County Court Clerks Office for the County of Barren on the 13th day of June 1828 and bounded as follows, To wit, Beginning at a stake and small hickory Bush and a line of the aforesaid Pucketts survey where the old trace crosses and line thence south 10 West sixty six poles to a stake thence East three hundred poles to four hickories thence North 10 East eighty six poles to two small post oaks where a line of Walkers survey crosses thence with Walkers line North 64 West one hundred and ninty eight poles to Walkers Corner a stake thence with an other of his lines North 30 East fifty one poles to a stake in a line of Pucketts survey where Walkers line crosses thence west one hundred and twenty eight poles to a stake corner of the original survey thence South 10 West one hundred and fifty five poles to the Beginning containing three hundred and six acres together with all and singular the appurtenances and improvements thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining unto the sd. Philip Swigert his Heirs or assigns forever for the use and purposes aforesaid and the sd. Willis Clement doth covenant and agree that he is Seized and possessed of a good pure and undefeasible fee simple title to the land hereby sold and conveyed and lawful right to sell and convey the same and for himself his Heirs Executors or administrators the aforesaid moiety or one equal half of the land herein described and conveyed with the appurtenances and improvements free from the claim or claims of all and any person or persons whatsoever Claiming or to Claim will warrant and forever defend by these presents and the sd. Willis Clement doth further covenant warrant and agree that the aforesaid James Clement Decas.d had at the time of his death only two Heirs and that George Clement who conveyed the land hereby Conveyed to Joseph Browing aforesaid is one of the two Heirs and legal representatives of the aforesaid James Clement Deceased and was legally seized and possessed of a good sure and indefeasable fee simple title to the aforesaid land so sold and conveyed by him. In testimony whereof the sd. Willis Clement hath hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal the day and year first herein Written

Runnick Clerk of the General Court do Certify that the foregoing Deed was produced to me in my Office on the 21st day of June 1828 and was acknowledged by Wills Clement the grantor to be his act and Deed and the same is admited to record in my Office Given under my hand as Clerk the date above written

Barren County Kentucky, To wit,
I William Logan Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do Certify that the within and foregoing Deed of Conveyance from Willis Clement of the one part and Philip Swigert for the use benefit and behoof fo the President, Directors and Company of the Bank of Kentucky of the other part with the Certificate of acknowledgement thereon endorsed by Alexander H. Rennick Clerk of the General Court was produced to me in my Office and by virtue of sd. Certificate the aforesaid Deed together with the attestation aforesaif and this Certificate hath been duly admited to Record in my Office Given under my hand this 26th day of October 1828
