2 June 1828 - Joseph and Winifred Browning of Spencer County, KY to Willis Clement of Spencer County, KY

Witnesseth that the said Joseph Browning and his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty Dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have Bargained and sold and by these presents doth Bargain and sell unto the Said Willis Clement one Moiety or Equal half of undivided tract or parcel of Land situate in the County of Barren in the Barrens near the three forks and is the tract of Land sold by Ephraim Puckett to James Clement and Conveyed by the said Ephraim Puckett to the heirs of James Clement Decd. by the Deed having date the 19th day of December 1817 and Bounded as follows To wit Beginning at a stake and small hickory bush on a line of said Puckets survey where the old trace Crosses sd line Thence south ten West 66 poles to a stake thence East three hundred poles to four hickories thence North ten East 86 poles to two small post Oaks where a line of Walkers survey Crosses thence with Walkers line North 64 West 198 poles to Walkers corner a stake thence With another of his lines North thirty East 51 poles to a stake in a line of Pucketts survey where Walkers line Crosses thence West 128 pole to a stake Corner of the original survey thence South ten West 155 poles to the Beginning Containing 306 acres the said Willis Clement To have and to hold one moiety or Equal undivided half of the aforesaid tract or parcel of Land unto him and his heirs and assigns forever and the said Joseph Browning and wife for himself and his heirs doth by these presents Covenant and agree to Warrant and forever defend unto the aforesaid Willis Clement his heirs and assigns the right title and fee simple of the aforesaid moity or Equal half of the aforesaid undevided tract or parcel of land and appertenance against the Claim of him the said Joseph Browning and wife his heirs and assigns and against the Claim or Claims of all and every person or persons whomsoever, in Witness whereof the said Joseph Browning and wife hath set his hand and seal this 2 day of June 1828.
