  To all to whome these Preasants shall come Greeting Know ye that for Divers good Causes and Considerations and more Especially for the sum fo Fifteen Pounds in hand paid by John Webster Gilbert I Augustine Potter of Bedford County have Given Granted and Confirmed and by these prasants for me and my heirs and Suctssessors do Give Grant and Confirm unto the said Gilbert one certain Part of a Tract of Land Bought of William Clement on Sennaca Creek at the Mouth of Adams Branch and the said Part or parsel of Land is Bounded as follows Begining at a Spanish Oak at the Mouth of a Small Branch a North branch of the above said Adams Branch formerly called the school Hous Branch thence up the said Branch to a small white oak line Tree of Samuel Gilberts Senr. deseast thence along the sd. Gilberts line Westward to a Corner line of Jno. Webster Gilbert then along a South Corse along the said Jno. Webster Gilberts line to the above said Adams Branch thense down the said Branch to the first Station Togather with all and Singular Privilages and Appertenanses thereunto Belonging or in any wise Appertaining to have and to hold the above said Land and Premises with all the Appurtenances to him the said Gilbert his Heirs and Assigns forever against him the said Potter his Heirs or assines In Witness whereof he the said Potter hath hereunto set his hand and Seal this 5 day of May 1777

Memorandon That on the day and year within written Quiet and Peasable Possession Seisen of the within Mentioned Land and Premises with the appertenanses was Given and made by the within named Augustine Potter to the within named Jno Webster Gilbert according to the Tenner and Affect of the within Written Deed

Received of Jno wb Gilbert fifteen pounds Courent Money of Virginia being the Consideration of the within mentioned Land and Premices Witness my hand and seal this 5th day of May 1777

This Indenture Together with the Memorandom of Livery of Seisin and receipt thereon Indorsed was acknowledged by Augustine Potter Party thereto and Ordered to be recorded
