In the name of God, Amen I Adam Clement of Campbell county being weak in body but of sound mind for which I thank God calling to mind the uncertainty of this mortal life and being desirous to despose of such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I despose of the same in the following manner that is to say it is my will and desire that all my just debts should be paid I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Agness the Riding carriage and Harness and the carriage horses which I give unto her and her heirs forever and I give duruing her life the following negroes and property to wit, Big Peter, Milly (his wife), Jenny, Mary, Nathan, little Peter, Isaac, and Lett. Together with 1/3 of all my stock of horses, Cattle, hogs and sheep belonging to the plantation whereon I live and all the household and kitchen furniture and plantation utinsils on the said plantation and I also give her during her life the tract of land whereon now I live with all the appurtenenances thereunto belonging (with this Porviso) and my single daughter Agnes Clement should be permitted to live with her mother in the house until she marries and having heretofore made advancements to several of my.... to my son William Clement the tract of land he now resides on containing 138 acres as will_____ by refering to the deed, One hundred pounds in cash and a negro man named Jack. I also dive him a piece of land adjoining his and John Depriest's land to be laid off by a straight line from his corner on the creek until it comes to DePriests and my line then with our line until it comes to William Clement's line....To my son Johnson Clement three hundred pounds in cash in lieu of a tract of land containing two hundred and ten acres and one hundred pounds in cash to by a negro man. To my son Benjamin Clement tract of land containing two hundred and ten acres as will____ by refering to the deed, a negro man named frank and a negro girl named Rachel. to my son Charles Clement four hundred pounds in cash to pay in part for the tract of land purchased by him of Josheph Stratton Jr, and a negro man named Fortune, To my son Adam Clement A tract of land lying in the State of Tennessee containing three hundred and twenty acres and a negro man named Bob. To sons George Washington Clement and Alexander Clement two tracts of land lying in the county of Pittsylvania containing 1005 acres...to George Washington Clement a negro boy named Ned and to Alexander Clement a negro boy named Claiborne to my daughter Juriah Clement Lacy, a negro woman Aggey and I also give her a negro man named Harry (son of said Aggeys) To my daughter Susannah Clement Perkins one hundred pounds in cash to buy land with and a negro girl named Pricilla, and to my daughter Sally Clement Moore, two negro girls named Viony and Rose, and to my daughter Agness Clement three negroes to witt, Moll, Lucy, and David, I also give unto my dau Juriah Lacy the following negroes; Lino, Hampton, Caroline, and Linda....................7 Oct 1811 Adam Clement
