In the name of God Amen. I Adam Clement of the County of Campbell and the State of Virginia, being of sound mind and despairing memory, do make and ordain this my last Will and testament.
First. I desire all my all my just debts to be paid.
Second. I desire that my estate be equally divided among all my children they to account for the advances heretofore received by them.
Thirdly. I direct my daughters' portions shall be held by my Executors in trust for their sole and separate use, not liable for the debts or contracts of their husbands in any manner whatever, and at their death, to be divided equally among their children, and in the event of their or either of them dying without any heirs of their body, to revert back to my Estate.
Fourthly. I desire Julia and her children, Virginia and Nancy, a girl Alcey now hired to and in possession of George W. Jennings, together with their increase be included in my daughter Mary C. A. Jennings' portion to be held in trust by my executors as directed in the third clause of this my will, at the price I have fixed upon them.
Fifthly I desire that Walker and Lucy shall select a master from among my children - that whomsoever they may select shall take care of them until their death, the right of property remaining in my Executors. should they select separate masters then I order my executors to provide for a reasonable maintenance of Walker out of my Estate.
Sixthly. I hereby appoint my sons George W. Clement and Adam Clement Jr. Executors to this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other or former wills by me made. In Witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this 16th day of December Eighteen hundred and fifty seven.

At a Court held for Campbell County January 11, 1858
The last will and testament of Adam Clement Sr., deceased, was this day produced in Court, proven by the oaths of Thomas Cocke and Richard Morgan, two of the subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Geo. W. Clement and Adam Clement Jr. the Executors therein named, who made oath, and together with Thomas Cocke, Boler Cocke and Ro. O. Doss their securities, who were sworn as to sufficiency, executed a bond in the penalty of twenty thousand dollars, they are permitted to qualify as such
