This Indenture made and entered into this 15th day of August A.D. 1857 by and between John Clemons + Macanda his wife Joshua Clemons + Louisa H. his wife Francis Demonbreun + Ann his wife late Clemons Susan Sarah + Jesse late Clemons children + heirs at Law of Vachel Clemons Decd and Francis Clemons widow of said Vachel Clemons Isham Clemons Jesse Clemons + Sarah Clemons also heirs at Law of said Vachel Clemons by Joshua Clemons their agent and attorney in fact of the first part and Larkin J Proctor of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part have this day for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and fifty Dollars to them in hand paid and secured to be paid by Larkin J Proctor the Receipt which of is here acknowledged they the party of the first part bargain and sell unto the said Larkin J Proctor and his heirs + assigns the tract of Land in Hart County Ky containing two Hundred and Bounded as follows. Beginning at a white oak Red oak + Jack oak thence N19 E180 poles to a post oak thence S71 W 80 poles to a white oak Scaley bark Hickory + Dogwood thence S19 W180 and a half poles to a small post oak and two Black oaks thence W71 W180 poles to the Beginning the same tract of Land that was pattened to William West on the 27th day of December 1807 and the same that was conveyed by George L. Wood Commissioner of Hart County Circuit Court to the children at Law of said Vachel Clemons by Deed acknowledged and Recorded May 17th 1850 in Deed Book J page 538 and which is refered to and the said parties of the first by themselves and their said attorney covenants and agrees to warrant + defend the title to the said Tract of Land by General Warranty unto the Said Proctor + his heirs In Testimony where of the parties of the first part have here unto set their hand + seal this the day date above written

I V Jones clerk of said County Court Certify that the foregoing deed was presented to me in my office on the 31st day of August 1857 and acknowledged by Joshua B Clemons, Francis Clemons, Isham Clemons, Sarah Clemons, Jesse Clemons each by Joshua B Clemons their Attorney in fact. F M Demonbreun Louisa H Clemons Ann Demonbreun, Susan Clemons, John Clemons, Macanda Clemons and that Louisa Clemons Wife of Joshua Clemons and Macanda Clemons Wife of John Clemons and Ann Demonbreun assigned and relinquished Dower to same wherefor the same with the certificate are duly Recorded in my Office this 19th day of December 1857
