  This Indenture made the sixth day of may an ye Domini One thousand seven hundred and Sixty Between Benjamin Clement of the County of Halifax and Susanna his Wife of the one part and John Jones of the same County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife for and in consideration of the Sum of fifteen pounds Curr.a Money by the said John Jones to the said Benjamin Clement in hand paid at and before the Insealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he the said Benjamin Clement doth hereby acknowledge and the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns therof and therfrom doth hereby forever acquit Exonerate and Discharge Hath granted Bargained and sold and by these Presents doth grant Bargain sell Alien feoff and Confirm unto the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns All that Tract or parcel of Land Containing by Estimation Four hundred and four Acres lying and being in the County of Halifax on both sides of Straight Stone Creek and Bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at Stephen Clement Corner Pointers thence new Line North three degrees west seventy three Poles to a red Oak North thirty degrees East one hundred and twenty poles to a Pine North forty degrees West two hundred Poles to Pointers south thirty five degrees West two hundred and twenty poles Crossing two Branches to Pointers south forty degrees East eighty Poles to a red Oak south Twenty Degrees East one hundred and forty six Poles to a pine south sixty degrees East one hundred and twenty Poles to a pine in Stephen Clements line and thence on his Line North three degrees West one hundred and twelve Poles Crossing the Creek to the first Station Together with all and Singular the Houses Buildings fences Orchards woods underwoods Ways Waters Meadows feedings and all other Benifits and Advantages whatsoever to the said Land belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the Estate Rite Title Intrest use Property Reversion Claim or Demand of the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife of in or to the same any part or parsell thereof To have and to hold the said four hundred and four acres of Land be the same more or less with all and every its appourtenances to the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns forever to the only Proper use and behoof of him the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns forever and to no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever and the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife for themselves and their Heirs do Covenant and agree to and with the said John Johns the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife Shall and will Warrant and forever defend the said Land and Premises thereby granted unto the said John Jones and to his Heirs against the Claim or Claims of all and every person or persons Whatsoever and the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns shall and May from time to time and at all times forever herafter freely peaceably and Quietly enter into and upon have Whole use Occupy Possess and enjoy the said Land and Premises hereby granted without the Lawfull Lett Suit Trouble Denial Molestation or Disturbance of them the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife their or either of there Heirs or assigns or any other Person or Persons Whatsoever and also that the said Benjamin Clement Susanna his Wife shall and will at any time hereafter at the Request and Proper costs and Charge in the Land of him the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns make and Execute or Cause to be made and Executed such further or other Reasonable Acts and Conveyances and Assurances whatsoever as shall be adjudged Necessary for the Quiet Enjoyment of the above mentioned granted Land and Premises to the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns forever In witness whereof the said Benjamin Clement and Susanna his Wife have hereunto sett there hands and seal the day and year first above written Sealed and Delivered

Memorandom That on the within mentioned day and year Quiet and Peaceable Possession of Livery & Syson was made by the within named Benjamin Clement to the within named John Jones to him and his Heirs forever In witness whereof he the said Benjamin Clement have hereunto sett his hand and seal the day and year first within Mentioned

The within Indenture and the Memorandum of Livery of Seizen and Receipt hereon indorsed were by the within named Benjamin Clement acknowledged to be his Several Acts and Deed and Susannah Wife of the said Benajmin being Privately Examined as the Law directs relinquished her right of Dower in and to the Land and Premises conveyed to the Within named John Jones All which were Ordered to be Recorded.
