This Indenture made the Twenty third Day of June an ye Domina One thousand seven hundred and sixty Between John Jones of the County of Halifax and Adam Clement of the same County of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Jones for and in consideration of the Sum of Twenty Pounds Curr.t Money by the said Adam Clement to the said John Jones in hand paid at and before the sealing delivery of this Presents the Receipt whereof he the said John Jones doth hereby acknowledge and the said Adam Clement his Heirs and Assigns thereof and therefrom doth hereby forever acquit Exonerate and Discharge. Hath granted Bargained and sold and by these Presents doth grant Bargain sell Elien feof and Confirm unto the said Adam Clement his Heirs or Assigns All that Tract or parcel of Land Containing by Estimation Two hundred Acres lying and being in the County of Halifax at the fork of Runnet bagg Creek a North Branch of Irvins River and Bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a Chestnut and runing thence new lines North twenty degrees East Crossing a Branch one hundred and forty six poles to a Dogwood south sixty five degrees west Crossing over Creek one of the forks of the said Runnet bagg and four Branches four hundred and four poles to a Locust on the north side of Runnet Bag Creek thence down the said Creek as it Meanders thirty four poles to a Hicory on the south side thence of south fifteen degrees East sixty poles to a white oak by a Branch East forty two poles to a poplar by a Branch north Twenty five degrees East one hundred and Two poles to a Hicory north eight degrees East Eighty eight Poles to a white oak south sixty five degrees East one hundred and sixty poles to a Hicory on the south side of the Creek below the fork and thence crossing the Creek North Eighty poles to the first Station. Together with all and Singular the Houses Buildings fences Orchards woods underwoods way Waters Meadows feedings and all other benefits and Advantages whatsoever to the said Land belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the Estate Rite Title Intrust use Property Reversion Clame or Demand of the said John Jones of in or to the same any part or parsell thereof To have and to hold the said Two hundred acres be the same more or less with all and every its Appourtenances to the said Adam Clement his Heirs and Assigns forever to the only Proper use and behoof of him the said Adam Clement his Heirs and Assigns forever and to no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever and the said John Jones for himselves and his Heirs do Covenant and agree to and with the said Adam Clement the said John Johns shall and will Warent and forever defend the said Land and Premises thereby granted unto the said Adam Clement and his Heirs against the Clame or Clames of all and every Person or persons Whatsoever and the said Adam Clement his Heirs and Assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter freely Peacaibly and Quietly enter into and upon have whole use Occupy Possess and Injoy the said Land and premises hereby granted without the Lawfull suit Trouble Deniall Molestation or Disturbance of them the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns or any other Person or Persons whatsoever and also that the said John Jones shall and will at any time hereafter at the request and proper Cost and Charge in the Land of him the said Adam Clement his Heirs and Assigns make and Execute or Cause to be made and Executed such further or other Lawfull and Reasonable acts and Conveyances and Assureances whatsoever as shall be Adjudged Necessary for the Quiet Enjoyment of the above mentioned granted Land and Premises to the said Adam Clement his Heirs and Assigns forever In witness whereof the said John Jones have hereunto sett his hand and seal the day and year first above written

Memorandom That on the within mentioned day and year Quiet and Peaceable possession of Livery & Syson was made by the within named John Jones to the within named Adam Clement to him and his Heirs forever In Witness whereof he the said John Jones have hereunto sett his hand and seal the day and year first within Mentioned, Test. The within Indenture and the Memorandum of Livery of Seizen and Receipt hereon indorsed were by the within named John Jones Acknowledged to be his Several Acts and Deed All which were Ordered to be Recorded.
