This Indenture drew & entered into this Sixth day of May 1823, between
Daniel Clements and Henry Jackson
both of Henry County Showeth, that the said Clement
for and in consideration of the sum two hundred & forty dollars, to
him in hand paid by the said Jackson, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
hath bargained & sold unto him the said Jackson and his heirs forever
One certain tract or parcel of land containing sixty acres situate in
said County in the twelfth District, in the eighth Section of the sixth
Range, the lines and boundaries running as follows (to Wit): Beginning
at a stake with two black oak and white oak and one dogwood pointer, standing
twenty poles East and twenty five poles North of the north east Corner
of an entry in the name of Jacob M Gavock for one hundred &twenty
acres runs thence East one hundred poles to a stake with one elm pointer,
thence South ninety six poles to a stake with three Hickory pointers in
the barrens, then West one hundred poles to a stake with seven Ash Saplins
& one poplar pointer, then north ninety six poles to the beginning.
To have & to hold the said land & premises with all & Singular
the appurtenances & appendages, thereunto belonging or in any wise
appertaining unto him the said Henry Jackson and his heirs forever, against
the claim of claims of the said
Daniel Clement or his heirs or any other person or persons, claiming
by from or under him or them or any other person or persons forever. In
Witness whereof the said Daniel
Clements hath hereunto set his hand & seal in the above written.

Henry County Court March Term 1824:
This deed of bargain & sale from Daniel
Clements to Henry Jackson for 60 acres of land was acknowledged in
open court by the subscriber thereto and ordered to be certified for registration.
