In the Name of God Amen I Hezekiah Pigg of Pittsylvania County tho weak in body yet thro the abundant mercy and goodness of god of a sound and perfect memory do constatute this my last Will and testament and desire it to be ricv'd as such by all. I give my body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a Christian like manner I most humbly bequeath my Soul to God who gave it begging his most gracious amplance of the same Item I lend unto to well beloved wife Elizabeth the Plantation with four hundred Acres of Land ajoining the same whereon I now live during her widowhood. Also Jane, Sarah, biger Bett, little Bett, Also one black Mare and bay Colt, and a pacing bay Horse. Also all the Stock of Cattle, Sheep and Hoggs, Also the household furniture Item I give and bequethe unto my Eldest Son Hezekiah Pigg a horse called the long bay and a new Saddle for him to recieve at present to dispose of as as he pleases Also when he comes of age one Negroe boy named Morrice and his equal part of all the Land I possess and a Bed and furniture Item I give and bequethe unto my Son John Pigg when he comes of age one Horse and Saddle and one bed and furniture Also one Negro boy named Jo, also his equil part of all the Land I posses. Item I give and bequethe unto my daughter Ann Pigg one good Horse and Saddle a Bed and furniture Also one Negro Garl named Patt. Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Clemment Pigg one Horse & Saddle, one Bed and furniture Also one Negro Boy Named Abraham and his equal part of all the Land I posses including the Plantation I live on After his Mothers death Item I desire that if any of the Legts. given should die the other Negroes or Horses that the Legatees should be made euqal to the rest of my Children before the Sail of my Estate. Item I desire that Easther and Ruth should be sold to the highes bidder for a year's Credit at which Sail the byer shall be aquanted with a dispute there is in the right and to by at his or her one risk Also four Geldings and a ? Horse to be sold at the same time and at the same Terms Also all the new Store Goods I have by me at the same Terms. Item I desire that after paying all my just debts to lay out what money remains in Negroes Item if one of the Children should die their part of the Estate to be equally divided among the rest of my Children Item I desire that after the Widowhood of my Wife that all Estate that is not given should be equally divided among all my Children. Itam I appoin for my Executors my well beloved Wife Niclos Park and Selvanas Stok Itam I do constitute this my last Will and Testament this and no other as with my hand and Seal this 2nd day of July 1784.

At a Court held for Pittsylvania County the 21nd day of Novr 1785
This last Will and Testament of Hezekiah Pigg deceased was presented into Court by Elizabeth Pigg the Executrix therein named and proved by the oaths of two of the witnesses thereto and Ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said Executrix who made Oath According to Law Certificate is granted her for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form of Law giving Security Whereupon she together with William Pigg and John Challin her securities entered into and Acknowledged their Bond according to Law, and liberty is reserved to the other Executors named in the sd. Will to join in the Probate thereof when they shall think fit.
