This Indenture made this seventh Day of November one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty two Between John Clement and Hannah his Wife of Pittsylvania County of the one part and Martha Clement of the other part of the Same County Witnesseth that the sd. John Clement and Hanna his Wife doth hereby Acknowledge hath given granted Bargind and Sold & by these presents doth give grant Bargain and sell Deliver alien and Confirm to her the sd. Martha Clement her Heirs and Assigns forever one Certain Track or parsel of Land Situate Lying and being in the County of Pittsylvania on the Frying Pan Creek Cntaining eighty Acres be the same more or less and bounded as followeth (to Wit) Begining at a post Oak on John Goads Line thence up the sd. Line to a Dividing Line made by John and James Clement thence along the sd. Line to Goads on the Other side of the Creek thence on the sd. Line to Cross Line Maid by John Goad & Benjamin Clement thence on the said Line to the first Station Referance thereto being had will forever at large apear together with all and Singular the prviliges and Appertenances thereunto belonging or in any Wise Appertaining To have and to hold the above sd. Land and premises With all the Appertenances unto the said Martha Clement her Heirs and Assigns forever to the Only use and behoof of her the said Martha Clement against him the sd. John Clement & his Heirs forever and against the Clame and demand of all Other persons persons Whatsoever Shall and will by these presents Warrent and forever defend In Witness whereof the said John Clement and Hannah his Wife hath hereunto set there hands and Seals the Day and year bove Written

Memorandom that the within Mentioned Day and year quiet and peacable possession given or made Witness my hand and Seal the Day and year Mentioned November the 7th 1782

Received of Martha Clement one hundred pounds the Consideration for the Within Mentioned Land
  John Clement L.S.

At a Court held for Pittsylvania County the 19th Day of November 1782
The within Indenture together with the Mem.o of Livery & Seizen and Reciept hereon indorsed was Acknowledged by the Within Named John Clements to be his several Acts & Deed and the Same Was Ordered to be Recorded By the Court
