THIS INDENTURE made the 26th day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seven Between Joshua Abston of the County of Bedford on the one part and John Abston of the County of Pittsylvania of the other part WITNESSETH that the said Joshua Abston for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid and the receipt whereof this is. Joshua Abton doth hereby acknowledge and hath bargained sold and doth by these presents bargain and sell alien Enfeof and confirm to him the said John Abston his heirs and assigns forever One certain Tract or parcel of land laying and being in the County of Pittsylvania on the waters of Stanton River and Bounded as follows, To Wit, Begining at pointers in Benjmain Clement, the Elders line South thirty degrees West Ninety Three poles to a pine Thence South Sixty Eight poles to a pine Thence South fifty five degrees West One Hundred and thirty six poles toa pine North Sixty degrees West Sixty Six poles to a pine North Ten degrees West Fifty eight poles to a pine thence a new line nearly an East Course One Hundred and ten poles to a pine North thirty degrees East fifty four poles to a stone and Charly Tree thence nearly a West course fifty six poles to a white oak thence North twenty degrees West Ninety Two poles to pointers in the old line thence along the old line a strait course to the begining containing One hundred and forty acres be the same more or less togehter with all and every of the apputenances there unto belonging unto him the said John Abston his heirs and assigns forever as an esztate in fee simple to the only use and behoof of him the said John Abston his heirs and assigns for Ever and the said Joshua Abston doth further covenant and agree with the said John Abston that the said Joshua will forever warrant and defend the said land and premises and all and every of the apuurtenances there unto belonging from hemself his heirs and from all to every other person or persons wharever Clear of all Incumbrances what Ever. In witness where of the said Joshua hath here unto set his hand and seal the date as above.
