  This Indenture made this Sixteenth day of December in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine Between Vachel Clement and Lucretia his Wife of the County of Pittsylvania of the one part and David Pannill of the said County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Vachel Clement and Lucretia his wife for and in consideration fo the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds current Money of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said David Pannill before the Sealing of these Presents the receipt whereof they doth hereby acknowledge have granted, bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain and Sell unto the said David Pannill his heirs and assigns for ever one certain Tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County of Pittsylvania containing by Survey One hundred and twenty acres, be the same more or less lying on both sides of White thorn and Georges Creek and bounded as follows, to wit, Begining at a Maple Stump on the Say branch thence along Markhams line South Sixty eight degrees West one hundred and twenty six poles crossing Georges Creek to a Pine South twenty degrees West Seventy five poles to ponters, thence Coles and J. Vannacks lines South forty eight degrees West thirty two poles to a Hickory South eighteen degrees East Seventy six poles to a red oak on White thorn Creek, thence down the same as it meanders and across to Pointers North forty four degrees East Foerty four poles to a Poplar on the said Creek thence down the same and across to the mouth of the said dry fork, thence up the same as it meanders to the begining To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of One hundred and twenty Acres Land, be the same more or less with all its rights Profits Previledges and Appertainances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use and befoof of him the said David Pannill his heirs and Assigns forever free from all manner of incumbrances whatsoever and the said Vachel Clement and Lucratia his Wife for themselves thier heirs Executors and Administrators doth Warrant and forever defend the aforesaid tract of Land to the only proper use and behoof of him the said David Pannill his heirs and Assigns for ever against the Claim or demand of any Person or persons whatsoever In Witness whereof the said Vachel Clement and Lucratia his Wife hath hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and date first above written

This Indenture was presented in Court and acknowledged by the within named Vachel Clement to be his act and Deed Ordered that the same be Recorded
