  This Indenture made this 21st day of December in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand eight hundred and one Between Vachel Clements and Lucretia his Wife of the County of Pittsylvania of the one part and Edmund Bingham of the same County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Vachel Clements and Lucretia his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty pounds Current money of Virginia to them the said Vachel Clements and Lucretia his wife in hand paid the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and the said Edmund Bingahm forever Acquited of the same have granted Bargained Sold and delivered and by these presents doth grant Bargain Sell and deliver unto the said Edmund Bingham his heirs and assigns forever one certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing by estimation Sixty three acres be the same more or Less situate Lying and being in the County of Pittsylvania on both sides of the new Road and Bounded as follows, to wit, Begining at a pine in Vincent Comptons former Line thence a new Line North eighteen degrees East one hundred and eighty two poles to a Red oak in Levi Comptons new Line and along the same North eighty one degrees West Sixty poles to pointers in Terrys Order Line and along the same South thirty seven degrees West ninety poles to Vincent Comptons Corner pointers and thence along his former Line South twenty six degrees East one hundred and twenty poles to the Begining, it being a tract or parcel of Land which was Surveyed for Vincent Compton in the year one Thousand seven hundred and ninety five, To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with all the appertainances whatsoever thereunto Belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Edmund Bingham his heirs and assigns forever and the said Vachel Clements and Lucretia his wife their heirs Executors and Administrators do Warrant and forever defend the good Lawfull Right and Title of the above mention.d Tract of Land to him the said Edmund Bingham his heirs and assigns forever free from the claim or demand of all and every other person or persons whatsoever In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and Seals the day & date first above Written, Signed, Sealed & delivered

This Indenture was presented in Court and Acknowledged by the within named Vachel Clements to be his act and Deed and by the Court ordered to be Recorded
