  This Indenture Made this 20th Day of August one thousand seven hundred & eighty two between Jno. Pigg of the Coty. of Pittsyl. of the one part & Edwd. Linthicum of the Coty. of Buckingham of the other Part Witnesseth that the sd. Jno. Pigg for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds Virginia Currency to him the sd. Jno. Pigg in hand paid by the sd. Edwd. Linthicum at & before the Sealing & delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged & every part thereof doth clearly acquit & discharge the sd. Edwd. Linthicum his Heirs Executors Admrs. & every of them by these presents hath given granted Bargained & Sold Released & confirmed & by these presents doth give grant Alien bargain sell release & Confirm unto the sd. Edwd. Linthicum One certain Tract of Land situated Lying & being in the Co. of Pittsyl. Containing By Estimation two hundred Acres lying on both sides of Bar Skin Creek Bounded by Jno Martin at the upper end & Jesse ? at the lower end & by Vacant Land on the side line to Have and to hold the sd. granted Land & apertenances as before mentioned unto the sd. Edwd. Linthicum his Heirs & c. forever & the sd. Jno. Pigg for himself his Heirs Exs. Adms. & c. doth covenant & Grant to & with the sd. Edwd. Linthicum that it shall & may be Lawfull to & for the sd. Edwd. Linthicum his Heirs & c. from time to Time & all times forever hereafter peacably & Quietly to have hold use Ocupy posses & injoy the sd. Land & appertenances and the right title of him the sd. Jno. Pigg to the same or any part thereof without any interruption trouble or molestation of him the sd. Jno. Pigg his Heirs or Assigns or any of them or any person or persons Lawfully Claiming in by from or under him her them or any of them & the sd. John Pigg for himself & his Heirs the sd. Land & Apertenences as before mentioned unto him the sd. Edwd. Linthicum & his Heirs Against him the sd. Jno. Pigg his Heirs & Assigns & from every person whatsoever shall & will warrent & forever Defend by these presents In Witness whereof the sd. Jno. Pigg hath hereunto Set his hand & Seal the Date within Mentioned

Memorandum that on the Day & year above Mentioned Quiet & Peacable Possession of the sd. Land & Apertinces & every thing contained in the within conveyance was had by the sd. Jno. Pigg & by him Delivered to the sd. Edwd. Linthicum According to the true intent & meaning of the within Deed

August the 20th Day one thousand seven hundred & eighty two Recd. of of Mr. Edwd. Linthicum the Sum of two hundred pounds Virginia Currency being full consideration fo rthe Land & Apertinances & c. granted Bargained & sold by me to the sd. Edwd. Linthicum agreable to the within Indenture

The Within Indenture of Bargain and Sale together with the Memorandum of Livery and Seizen and receipt hereon indorsed was Acknowledged by the within Named John Pigg to be his Several Acts and Deed and the same was Ordered to be Recorded By the Court
