  This Indenture Made this third day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Six Between Jesse Robertson of the one part and John Hubbard of the other part Witnesseth that the said Jesse Robertson for and in the Consideration of the Sum of Two Hundred pounds Current Money of Virginia by him the said John Hubbard to him the said Jesse Robertson in hand paid before the Sealing and Delivering these Presents Whereof he the said Jesse Robertson Doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof doth acquit and Discharge him the Said John Hubbard his heirs Executors Administrators hath granted Bargained and Sold enfeof and Confirm'd unto the said John Hubbard his heirs and Assigns four hundred acres of Land lying and being in Pitsylvania County and bounded as follows, to Wit, Begining Edmund Hodges Corner red Oak and thence New lines south Seventy nine and a half West one hundred and fifty Eight poles to a red Oak saplin Near the East fork of Bearskin Creek South twenty five West Eighty Eight poles Crossing the said fork to a White Oak south thirty five West two hundred and ten poles Crossing a Branch to pointers in Piggs Road thence along the road South fifty five East Eighty poles to pointers in the same Road and thence off North fifty Eight poles to a Black Jack East Seventy Eight poles to three red Oak Saplins South Seventy East one hundred and fifty two poles to the said on Hodges Corner Pointers and thence along his line North three hundred and twenty poles crossing the Creek to the first Station To have and to hold the said Premises and plantation and tract of Land with the apputanances unto the said John Hubbard his heirs and assigns to the only use and behoof of the said John Hubbard his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jesse Robertson his heirs Executors Administrators the said plantation and Tract of Land with the apputenances thereof unto him the said John Hubbard his heirs and Assigns shall and will warrant and forever Defend by these presents Ever Defend against the Claim and demand of him the said Jesse Robinson himself his heirs or any other person Whatsoever and the said Jesse Robinson his heirs Executors and Administrators doth Covenant and promise and agree to and with the said John Hubbard his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns that the Premises and Emmisaries his Heirs and Assigns for and Not Withstanding any Act by him the said Jesse Robinson or any other other person Commited done or Sufferd Shall or Lawfully May forever have offerd have hold occupy possess and Enjoy the same and any part thereof with the Appurtenances without the Lawful let or Molistation or Evision of him the said Jesse Robinson his heirs or assigns or any other Person Whatsoever in Witness whereof the Parties aforesaid Have and afix their Seal the day and date above Mentioned I have hereunto Set my hand and fixd my Seal the day and date above Written

The within Indenture was Acknowledged by the within Names Jesse Robinson to be his Act & Deed & the same was Ordered to be recorded by the Court
