M M & E. D. Harris from J. Clement
Know all men by these presents that I Johnson Clement have this day bargained, Sold and delivered to Mary M Harris and Ephram D. Harris three Negro Slaves, Viz, Sarah Lonon and Moriah it being in consideration of Mary M Harris.s interest in certain Negroes loaned to her Mother and given to her by her Grand Father Mathew Moore as devised in his last Will which Negroes or her interest in the Same they Mary M Harris and Ephraim D. Harris Sold to Johnson Clement & gave him with others a bill of Sale of their interest in Said Negroes. the above named Negroes Lonon Sarah and Moriah is in full payment for her Interest as devised by her Grand Father Mat Moore and I Johnson Clement do Warrant and defend the title of Said Negroes to Mary M Harris and Ephraim D. Harris their heirs and assigns against the Claims of all persons claiming under me my heirs or assigns in Witness Whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal this 11th day of September AD1836
