Agnes & Wm A. Lacy from Johnson

Know all men by these presents that I Johnson
Clement have this day bargained and sold & delivered to Agnes
& Wm. A Lacy Negroes, Viz, Matilda Suckey and money furnished which
bought a Negro Woman, viz, Cloe and their increase it being in Consideration
of Agnes Lacy's Interest in certain Negroes loaned to her mother and given
to her by her grandfather Mat. Moore as devised in his last Will, which
Negroes or her interest in the same, they Agnes & Wm. A Lacy sold
to Johnson Clement and gave
him with others a bill of sale for their interest in said Negroes. The
above negroes Matilda Suckey and [blank space] and Money furnished which
bought Cloe is in full payement for their interest as devised by Mat.
Moore and I Johnson Clement
do warrant and defend the title of said Negroes to Agnes & Wm. A.
Lacy their heirs or assigns against the claims of all persons claiming
under me my heirs or assigns in Witness Whereof I have hereunto Set my
hand & Seal this 11th day of Septbr. 1836

Clement & acknowledged the execution of the within Bill of sale
for the purposes therein expressed ordered to be registered
