  This Indenture made this third day of November in the Year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and one, and in the twenty Sixth year of American Independence, Between Martha Clement of Wilkes County and State of Georgia of the one part and William Barker of the County and State of sd. of the other part, Witnesseth that the Said Martha Clement for in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars the Recept where of the said Martha Clement hath Acknowledged, hath Granted Bargained Sold Allenated Enfeeoft Released and Confirmed unto the said William Barker his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or Parcel of Land lying on the waters of long Creek in the said County Containing one hundred and sixty acres more or less Being Part of a tract of Land Granted to the said Martha Clement by his honour James Jackson on the Ninteenth day of March one thousand Eight hundred, and beginning at a pine Near James Thomas house thence running S30d, W25,00 to a pine thence S25 E 4,00 to a white Oak thence S.80E24,,50 to a Hickory thence N,,17,,00, to a pine thence N65,,E,,9,,00 hikory thence N20W32,,00 to a pine thence to the beginning as the Road Runs together with all the Rights Members and appurtenances there of whatsoever to the said tract or parcel of land Belonging or in any Wise appertaining there unto and also the estate right title clame or demand of her the said Martha Clement of into or out of the same to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all and Singular the premises with there and every of there rights members and apurtinances unto the said William Barker his heirs and assigns to his and there own proper use and behoof forever in fee simple In witness where of the said Martha Clement have here unto set her hand and affixed her Seal the day and year first above written
