These are all pictures believed to be of Fred Cook. The one that references HL23
is from a picture of him with his younger brother, Henry L. Cook Jr. (H.L.). The
one that references page 8 of the Swanson document is a third generation photocopy
that Dorothy Swanson sent to Mamie Cook. Dorothy Swanson was a granddaughter of
Frank Cook, and Mamie was the first daughter of H.L. Cook. The original of the
photograph that Dorothy sent to Mamie was in a album belonging to Frank Cook,
Fred's older brother. The HL12 photograph, found in H.L. Cook's album, is from
a picture of Fred with his sister, Minnie, taken in Loveland, Colorado, where
Minnie lived. MHLG5 and MHL04 were photographs found in a box of pictures also
belonging to H.L. Cook. They are identified as being of Fred Cook based on
similarities with other photograph known to be of Fred Cook.
It should be observed that Fred Cook was quite thrifty. For example, notice that in 4 of the photographs below--spanning a period of perhaps 15-18 years--he appears to be wearing the same jacket. |
