� So, are we relatives? A quick way to determine our relation is to: 1) find our common ancestor. 2) subtract "2" from the generation number to get our order of cousin-ness. Example, if we have a common ancestor in my 6th generation, then we are 4th cousins. This assumes that our generations are the same. It is a little more complicated when the generation numbers are different.
