Hayes History
The last HAYES that is part of my family line is Ruby Violet HAYES. She was born 16 October 1901 in Arkansas (probably Grant County) and married Roscoe Daniel McCool. Ruby and Roscoe had the following children:
Ruby's parents were Charles M. Hayes and Mary Ellen Shockley. Mary Ellen and Charles had the following children:
Prencie Hayes (married Frank KODER)
Horace Hayes (married a HICKS?)
Lester Hayes (married Lula BURTON)
Ruby Violet Hayes
Gladys Hayes

Most of the Hayes clan moved to the Milwaukee area in the 1920s. Ruby and Roscoe lived there, with Prencie and Lester I believe, for a couple of years. They moved back to Arkansas and spent the rest of their lives there. Ruby and Roscoe are buried in Mars Hill Cemetery in Bauxite Arkansas.
