THIS INDENTURE, made the thirteenth dayof May in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty between John G. Gardiner and Samuel B. Gardiner and Mary G. Gardiner his wife all of East Hampton, County of Suffolk and state of New York of the first part and Fact Hartman of the town of Boonville, County of Oneida state of New York of the second part witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred & twnety nine dollars and ninety-five cents, lawful money of the Untied States of American, to them in hand paid by the said party fo the sec9ond part, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof ishereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, revised, releasd, conveyyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, revise, release, convey, and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that certain piece or parcel of land situated and lying in lot (no. 4) number four in Willets track of fifteenhundred acres in the town of Boonville in the County of Oneida and state of New York, bounded as follows, beginning at a stake and stones standing in the north line of said lot, fourteen chains and eighty six links N. 88% 30� g. from the northwest corner thereof, and running from thence N. 88% 30� E. along the north bounds thereof fourteen chains and eighty six links to a stake and stonesm thence S. 30� E. along the west bounds of a piece of land deeded to Jacob Helmer thirty four chains and forty four links to the southwest corner thereof a stake and stones, thence 88% 30� W. along the south bounds of said lot fourteen chains and eighty six links at a stake and stones, thence N. 1 30� W. along the east bounds of a piece of land deeded to James McClusky thirty four chains and forty four links to the place of beginning, containing fifty one acres and twenty eight rods of land. Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditamentsand appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise pertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders, rents, issue and profits thereof. And also all the estate, right, title, interest, right of dower, property possession claim and demand whatsoever, as well inlaw as in equit of the said parties of the first part, of in or to th eabove described premises and every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenances. To have and to hold all and singular the above mentioned and described premises, together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the first part themselves, and heirs, and said premises, in the quiet adn peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns against the said partiies of the first part their heirs and against all and every person and persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or t6o claim the same shall and will warrant and by these presnets for ever defend. Gardiner, persons to me well known and known to me to be the persons described in and who exectued the foregoing deed and -- acknowledged that they exeuted the same for the uses and purposed therein mentioned and the said Mary G. I, Martha C Hartman, spinster, of the Town of Boonville, in the County of Oneida and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish, and dgeclare this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say: First-- I direct that all my just debts an dfuneral expenses be paid. Second -- I give devise and bequeath all the property, both real and personal of which I may die possessed, to my brother, George Hartman, of Boonville, Oneida Co., New York and to his heirs. I have two other brothers, by name Charles Haretman and Albert Hartman, and on esister, Mrs Elizabet J Clemens, but I do not wich them to have any of my property, not bbecause of any emnity towards them, but because of special services rendered me by George, I wish him to have it all. Lastly, I hereby appint George Hartman, of Boonville, Oneida Co., New York executor of this, my last will and testament: hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name the eleventh day of April, in the year One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fourteen.
