The petition of Elizabeth Bacon of the town of Clayton in said County, Respectfully showeth: That she is a daughter of David Hartman late of the town of Lyme in said county, deceased. that the said David Hartman departed this life on the 14th day of May 1890 in the town of Lyme in said county and died intestate. That the said deceased left no Will, acccording to the best knowledge, information and belief of your petitioner. that you petitioner has, to the best of her ability, estimated and ascertained the value of the personal property of which the said deceased died possessed and that the same does not exceed in value the sum of about three hundred dollars. That the said intestate left kindred entitled to his estate whose names and places of residence are as follows, and none other or others, viz: Emeline Connell of Antwerp, Jefferson Co., NY Elizabeth Bacon of Clayton, Jefferson Co., NY Emma Kitto of Lyme, Jefferson Co., NY Elida Phelps of Lyme, Jefferson Co., NY Nora Hartman of Lyme, Jefferson Co., NY Jay Hartman of Lyme, Jefferson Co., NY Children of said deceased all 21 except Nora who is a minor 19 years of age and has no general guardian. Your petitioner further showeth that the said intesstate, at or immediately previous to his death, was an inhabitant of the county of Jefferson and died leaving personal property therein. That you rpetitioner is of full age, and that she is informed and believes that the Surrogate of said county has sole and exclusive power to grant Letters of Administration to the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said intestate; she therefore prays that such Letters amy be grqanted to her and to George W Nickutt so joined in scuh Administration. Dated June 27, 1890 X Elizabeth Bacon (her mark) State of New York, Jefferson County Elizabeth Bacon, being duly sworn, deposes and says, That she has read or heard read the foregoing petition by her subscribed, and knows the contents thereof, and that the same is true of her own knowledge, excepting as to the matters therein stated on her infomraiton and belief, and as to those matters she believes it to be true. Subscribed and sworn this 27 day June 1890 before me Ross Scott, Surrogate X Elizabeth Bacon (her mark)
