Doctor Harve Cobb

(1855 Mississippi-abt 1903 Texas)

 

FIRST GENERATION

 

1.  Doctor Harve "Hugh Dock" COBB Sr was born about 1855 in Holly Springs, Mississippi.  He appeared on the census in 1860 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi.  He immigrated in 1872 to Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas.  He immigrated in 1881 to Monroe County, Mississippi.  He was only there about two years, and returned to Clarksville, Arkansas.  He immigrated in 1889 to Fannin County, Texas.  He immigrated in 1894 to Indian Territory.  He moved there to join his brother James Andrew operating a Blacksmith shop.  He died about 1903 in Fannin County, Texas.  His place of burial is not known at this time.  He was a Blacksmith. 

 

He was married to Cathrine Belle DEAN (daughter of David DEAN and Cassandra HARRIS) in 1880 in Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas.  Cathrine Belle DEAN was born about 1862 in Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas.  She died in 1942 in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas.  She was living with son Hugh at the time of her death.  She was buried in Vittitoe Cemetery, Grayson County, Texas.  Doctor Harve "Hugh Dock" COBB Sr and Cathrine Belle DEAN had the following children:

 

              2              i.    Bertha Mae COBB was born in 1883 in Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas.

              3             ii.    Ottie Louise COBB was born in 1888 in Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas.

              4            iii.    Minnie Bell COBB was born in 1891 in Fannin County, Texas.

            +5           iv.    Eula P. COBB (born on August 14, 1893).

              6            v.    Eva Irene COBB was born in 1899 in Tishomingo, Indian Territory (now Johnston County, Oklahoma).  She died in 1991 in Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas.

            +7           vi.    Doctor Harvey "Hugh Dock" COBB Jr (born on November 11, 1902).

 

 

 

SECOND GENERATION

 

5.  Eula P. COBB was born on August 14, 1893 in Tishomingo, Indian Territory (now Johnston County, Oklahoma).  She died on February 11, 1993 in Grayson County, Texas.

 

She was married to Riley TABOR.  Riley TABOR was born on July 26, 1891.  He died on September 19, 1966 in Grayson County, Texas.  He was buried in Vittitoe Cemetery, Grayson County, Texas.

 

7.  Doctor Harvey "Hugh Dock" COBB Jr was born on November 11, 1902 in Honey Grove, Fannin County, Texas.  He died on March 27, 1987 in Gunter, Grayson County, Texas.  He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Fannin County, Texas.  This cemetery is located on the extreme western boundary of Fannin County, in the town of Whitesboro which is divided mostly into Grayson County. 

 

He was married to Minnie Fay VINCENT (daughter of Tom VINCENT) on April 11, 1924 in Kentuckytown, Fannin County, Texas.  Minnie Fay VINCENT was born on November 15, 1901.  She died on August 12, 1984 in Fannin County, Texas.  She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Fannin County, Texas.
