He was a member of Paradise Lodge No. 290 AF&AM, Plainville, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Coddington celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary in 1959. Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters, Eva Hinkhouse, Florence Fesler, both of Palco, and Annie Gish of Loveland, Colorado.

CLARENCE EDWIN CODDINGTON, son of Lewis and Mary Ann Coddington, was born October 30, 1885 on a farm near Palco. He departed this earth January 22, 1971 at the Hadley Memorial hospital in Hays, Kansas at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 22 days. He was united in marriage to Lottie Hinkhouse August 7, 1909. To this union one son, Delwin, was born. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Lottie; his son Delwin; his daughter-in-law Dorothy; three grandchildren, Kenneth of Logan, Diana Ehrlich of Omaha, Nebr; and Cecilia of Palco; four great grandchildren, Kelly and Kevin Coddington; and Valerie and Todd Ehrlich; eleven nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
