Following the war took his family West. They had a second son in St Louis, Missouri. Isaiah's wife (Mary) left him somewhere out in the West and brought her children back to NJ and raised them alone. Her family and that of Isaiah's supported her, and they were not pleased with Isaiah's decision to stay out West.
