  General Notes:

By 1810, Joseph, and his brother David and their nephew Jacob had moved from Rochester to Ulysses in Seneca (now Tompkins Co.), presumably following their cousin John 1778. They owned land three miles south of Ithaca. Coddington Road in Ithaca was named after this family.
John I. Coddington saw and copied records from the family bible of Joseph and Meribah, which was in the possession of Vera N. (Coddington) Leatherberry in 1943. The actual transcription has not been located, but in his "Brief Outline...," he lists the following children: Joseph, David, Robert, Jacob I., Mary, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Elias, Ann, James, John, and Abraham. ^124,1200
