He lived in the following places: Pleasant Valley, WI (1860-1865), Otterville, IA (to 1874), in Jessup (until 1894), moved to Theatford, MI, then to Saginaw, Mt Morris, Crystal City, and in 1906 resided at Gaylord, MI. From 1907 to 1912 lived at Mt Morris. He was township clerk for Theatford for 15 years, Justice of the Peace for four years, and school inspector and moderator for several years.
