By 1810, David and his brother Joseph, and their nephew Jacob had moved from Rochester to Ulysses in Seneca (now Tompkins Co.), presumably following their cousin John 1778. They owned land three miles south of Ithaca. Coddington Road in Ithaca was named after this family.
