Dan Porter Log Home Construction is the name of Dan and Betsy's business, specializing in handcrafted Scandinavian (full-scribe) log structures. The business is located in Crescent, OR, where they construct the log homes, in their building yard, then disassemble them to be reassembled on the owner's property. The business also involves timber cutting, teaching log structure techniques, and interior design and architecture (done by Betsy). In June 1995, Dan hit a deer while riding his motorcycle.
