  General Notes:

A male descendant of Richard F. Coryell abt. 1794 matches living descendants of John Coddington 1653 and Benjamin Coddington 1680 on 65 of 67 Y chromosome markers, and does not match descendants of other 18th century Coryells. His antecedents are unknown. Richard F. Coryell is therefore genetically a Coddington.
Richard during his life was intimately associated with Isaac Coddington 1729 and his sons, through land deals, intermarriages, and other facts. All things considered, it is most likely that Richard was a son of John 1761 who was raised by Coryells. Hypopthetically, John had an unrecorded first wife who produced Richard but died shortly thereafter.
