143rd New York, "A Condensed History of the One Hundred Forty-Third New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment," by Moses Young. Published in 1909, "This book is mostly a roster of the Sullivan County regiment. This unit saw action in the Atlanta campaign. It was right in the middle of the Peach Tree fight outside of Atlanta, marched to the sea and fought in North Carolina toward the end of the war. The first 50 or so pages deals with the unit history and the rest of the book is a unit roster with a small reunion chapter at the end. This book is difficult to find in good condition. If found expect to pay in the 300 dollar range."
