Enoch served in the New Jersey Militia during the Revolutionary War.
"Sol. lived at Chatham on the Passaic River in NJ at enl & while in service his mother moved to Ulster Cty NY & went to her home & also enl there, sol appl 14 Sep 1832 Orange Cty NY a res of Newburgh NY, in 1832, a sis (not named) was living in Goshen NY, sol d. 31 Mar 1834.

Appears on list of men assessed for highway labor in 1785 for town of Newburgh, Orange Co., New York.

Appears in the 1790 Newburgh census with one male over 16 (Enoch) and two females, both unexplained, three households away from William Coddington (his brother), and adjacent to James Parshall, brother to John Parshall, the husband of Enoch's sister, Phebe Jane. 2874

• Military: Six months service under Col. Rudolphs Ridgemore New York Continental Line, and Capt. Lyons, 1775, Chatham, Morris Co., New Jersey, USA. 3785,3786 Volunteered in Spring of 1775. Marched to Canada, at the taking of Fort St. John's in Lower Canada, after which he was detached and guarded prisoners taken at that place to Kingston, New York, and then started for his home in New Jersey.

• Military: Private in Col. Morris Graham's "Levies." Capt. Nicholas, 1776, , , New York, USA. 3787

• Military: Six months service under Capt. John Nichols and Col. James McClaghry, 1777-1778, , , New Jersey, USA. 315,3785 Stationed at Peekskill and Fort Montgomery. Frequently called out and served at Fort Montgomery and West Point; at the latter when it was captured. Returned to New Jersey in Spring of 1779.

• Military: Served under Capt. Freeman, 1779, , , New Jersey, USA. 3785 During the summer and fall of that year was frequently called out.

• Military: Six month's service under Capt. Drake, 1780. 3785,3788 Stationed at Fort Renssalaer, went to Fort Stanwix and was in an engagement with the Indians.

• Military: Five months service under Capt. Joshua Drake and Col. William Malcomb, Jul 1780-Aug 1780, , , New Jersey, USA. 3785,3788,3789 Commenced 25 July 1780 for three months on one muster roll, 1 Sept 1780 for three months on another.
