"William Christopher Coddington lived at Ball's Eddy on the Delware River (may have been the Susquehanna River). He and his family were driven out by the Indians. He and his wife and all of their children except two died during the journey to Ulster Co., NY. (Note by JIC: this may refer to Christopher Coddington and his wife Maria Oosterhoudt, and their departure from Northumberland Co.). Among the children of this family were (1) Joseph, (2) Christopher, and (3) Daniel. The above copied from Herbert G. Coddington's papers." 124
