Virginia L. Colby
Born in Duncan Oklahoma, but for the past 30 years living in Pleasant Grove and after living with Alzheimer's for the past nine years, our beloved mother passed peacefully at 12:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son Larry Hartman of N. Sacto (1947 to 1970) and husband Maurice Colby of Pleasant Grove (1916 to March 2002).
She is survived by and will be sadly missed by her children, Novella Crouch of Woodland, Victoria Schucard of Oakdale and Michael Hartman of Rocklin, Ca., she leaves her step-children and their families, Gorden Colby of Loomis, Steven and Lola Colby of Rocklin, Jerry and Sue Moore of Pleasant Grove, Teresa and Pete Escanlante of Pleasant Grove. And by her brother Oscar P. Murphy of Mid West City of Oklahoma.
By her children and step-children she leaves nine grandchildren all part of her family.
A memorial service will be held at Lamberts Funeral Home at 400 Douglass Blvd. in Roseville at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003. Those wishing may send flowers to this address, donations to your chosen Alzheimer's Association.
