George W. SCHNUCKEL, one of the younger representatives of agricultural interests in Pleasant Prairie Township, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, was born 08 April 1881 in Kenosha, a son of Charles and Julia (SWANTZ) SCHNUCKEL. He attended the public schools until fourteen years of age, and early became
familiar with every detail of farm work, giving his father the benefit of his services until 1905, when he rented some of the home place and started out in business for himself. He has since met with marked success in the operation of his land, and is regarded as one of the leading farmers of his community.
On 18 April 1912 George W. SCHNUCKEL married [Miss] Maude COLBY, daughter of Nahum COLBY of Beecher [Will County], Illinois. To George W. and Maude (COLBY) SCHNUCKEL have been born two children: (1) Carl Nahum; and (2) William George, now deceased [text published 1916].
