SUNAPEE - Lucy Helen Colby, 80, died Wednesday at the Woodlawn Nursing Home in Newport after a long illness.
She was born in Sydney, Australia, the daughter of Edward and Mabel (Maher) Turner.
She worked for Woodbine Cottage Restaurant in Sunapee and the Colonial Pharmacy in New London for more than 30 years.
Colby was a member of the Sunapee Crescent Lodge No. 44 of the Rebekahs.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Russell Colby of Claremont; two sons, William Colby of Newport and Jayson Colby of Winchester, Mass.; a daughter, Dorothy Wiggins of Sunapee; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, John and Stanley Allen, died previously.
Calling hours will not be held. Memorial services will be held May 3 at 2 p.m. at the Community Methodist Church of Sunapee. The Rev. Wayne MacDonald will officiate. Burial will be at the Eastman Cemetery in Sunapee.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of New Hampshire or to the Lake Sunapee Visiting Nurse Alliance (LSVNA).
