Allen Burke was born 25 May 1803 in Virginia possibly to Benjamin Burke and Elizabeth Troxell. He married Elizabeth Ryan on 4 Aug 1825. Allen died 21 Nov 1888 at Yamacraw, McCreary County, Kentucky.
Elizabeth Ryan was born 2 Mar 1807 in Virginia to William Evan Ryan (1781-1855) and Keziah Blevins (1786-1870). Elizabeth Ryan Burke died 7 Aug 1887 at Yamacraw, McCreary Co., KY.
1. Sarah Elizabeth Burke (1827-1891) She married William Dobbs (1822-1901). This is my direct line. See below for more information.
2. James Seymour Burke (b. 9 Feb 1829 KY; d. 3 Apr 1911 TX), James listed as 21 years old and was unmarried and living with his parents on the 1850 Federal Census. He may have married Eliza Jane Louisa Summers (1837-1910) on 25 Feb 1857 at Wayne County, Kentucky
3. Ursula Burke (1830-1912), she seems to have married William Phipps (1829-1918)
4. Hudson T. Burke (1831-1880), married Nancy Bagley
5. Benjamin Burke (1833-1864), married Emmerine Phipps (1840-1913)
6. Jonathan Burke (1834-1862)
7. Mary Ann Polly Burke (1836 KY to 1904 Arkansas), she married James McDonald (1837-1888)
8. Susanna A. Burk (1840 - 1921), may have married Joshua Murphy?
9. Gaines L. Burke (1839-1924), Gaines married Susan Lafayette Overstreet (1850-1930)
10. William Richard Burk (1841-1901), Dick Burke likely married Sarah Jane Mills (1842-1914)
11. possibly Mary E Burke (1845-1885) who married James Crawford Parker (1841-1906)
